Nfl Tickets- How The Patriots Always Rank Near Top
The 2011-2012 NFL season may be well behind us but it is summer and it is now time to look ahead at the upcoming season
. While last season may not be an exact indication of how teams will fare this year, there are some teams that have been consistent in the last few years, whether that means playing well or playing badly. Most NFL critics, and many NFL fans, will admit that the New England Patriots are probably the most successful franchise team of the last decade. They have been fairly consistent and always seem to make it to the playoffs, often with deep runs. They might not make it to the Super Bowl each year or win when they get there, but their overall skills and ability within the league can be counted on each and every season. That is why they are able to sell out NFL tickets to all of their games. But how do they rank among all NFL teams?
Ranking Patriots' Defense:
Although the New England Patriots seem to pull off fantastic seasons each year, there is one area where they seem to falter. In the last couple of years, the Patriots have not ranked well when compared to other NFL teams defensively. In 2010, the team ranked Number 25 among all 32 NFL defenses. In 2011, the Patriots ranked Number 31 among all 32 defenses. And now, it seems like the Patriots have not fared much better, coming in at Number 29 among all the other league defenses. But Bill Belichick thinks he has a remedy for their lack of sturdy defense. He has brought on Steve Gregory, Trevor Scott, and Jonathan Fanene and if both Andre Carter and Mark Anderson come back, they should have a decent defense this season. They also spent their first six draft picks on defense, which should help.
Ranking Patriots' Offense:
There is nothing that can be said that has not already been said about star, elite quarterback Tom Brady. So instead, the focus should be on the offensive line. The Patriots have done extremely well offensively for the last few years, and especially the last couple of seasons. They currently rank Number 2 in offensive line right behind the Green Bay Packers. That means they fare better than all-star teams like the New York Giants, last season's NFL Champions, and even the Kansas City Chiefs, who made a vast improvement last season. NFL fans were looking at the Cincinnati Bengals (No.4) and the Carolina Panthers (No.5) to step up, but they still fall behind a line that is hard to break in the New England Patriots.
Ranking the Patriots Overall:
Currently, the New England Patriots are likely be favored in most of their 16 regular season games. The only team that is expected to beat them out, and one that is currently ranked Number 1 overall, is the Green Bay Packers, who have a solid offensive line and spent their first six draft picks, like the Patriots, on defensive selections. Coming in after the Patriots, now ranked at Number 2, are the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Houston Texans, in that order.
