Orange Park Toyota buyers will get great resale value on Toyota models

Orange Park Toyota dealers shouldn't be surprised that Toyota had several models among the 2011 Best Resale Value list from Kelley Blue Book. After all, The Japanese auto giant has been producing quality for years and its models have been a mainstay on the list.

What might be a bit more surprising is which models appear on this year's list. Top sellers like the Prius and Avalon didn't make the list this year, but three other models did. Winter Park Toyota Prius buyers may be surprised that these models, which normally don't get as much attention, were honored.

Although luxury cars did receive accolades, they actually have their own categories and since most of us probably aren't considering luxury buys in the current economy, we will focus on the "other" categories. For overall ratings, Subaru and BMW came out on top, but Toyota tied with Honda for having the most vehicles on the list three.

In the Mid-size Utility Vehicle category the Toyota FJ Cruiser was rated best resale value. It's not a vehicle that has garnered a lot of attention from the press, so we may have been missing out on a great thing here. Thanks for the "heads up" Kelley!

Toyota Tacoma was named the best value for a Mid-Size Pickup, quite an honor with some of the tough competition out there. Orange Park Toyota customers should check out both of these models at their dealer.

Now this one I wasn't expecting, although I suppose I should have been. The Toyota Sienna van took honors in its category. Although the Sienna model has been around for years, I can't help but think about a previous Toyota van model the Previa. After many years of faithful service to the reality show family the Roloffs, their son finally reluctantly put it out to pasture. But that's the kind of van you want to invest in.

Toyota has done a remarkable job of customer service coming off of massive recalls and bad publicity. They have not only retained the trust of current customers, but have attracted many new ones as well. This company either has a PR department made of up Einsteins or they just honestly produce quality vehicles.

Winter Park Toyota Prius owners can still be assured of getting top dollar for their models; they just didn't come in first in category this year. Some of the other honorees included: Honda Fit for Subcompact Car; Honda CR-V for Compact Utility; MINI Cooper for Compact Car; Honda Accord for Mid-size Car; GMC Acadia for Full-size Utility; Ford Taurus for Full-size Car; Subaru Outback for Wagon; Volkswagen Golf TDI for Hybrid/Alt. Energy; Ford Mustang GT for High-performance; Subaru Impreza for Sports Car; and Ford F-Series Super Duty for Full-size Pickup.
