Wheeling Toyota Dealers Have the Safest Minivan Available

MSN Autos has assembled a list of the safest cars in America based on information collected from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Only vehicles that earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick specification were considered for MSN's study which named one model in ten categories as the safest on the market.

Taking the award in the safest minivan category was the all new 2011 Toyota Sienna. The Sienna debuted in your Wheeling Toyota dealer's showroom with many improvements over last year's model including style, size, performance and most importantly, safety.

One upgrade from its predecessor is the Sienna's radar-based pre-collision system which prepares the brakes to enable at with maximum force when a possible collision is detected in the road ahead. In addition to safety enhancements, the Sienna was redesigned for the 2011 model year and features a more shapely, handsome exterior. The van's fender flares give the Sienna a distinct character and its stylish contours and wide stance create a more stable, athletic appeal. The reclining second row of seats and the available 16.4-inch DVD screen give this car a progressive, yet modest appeal.

More power is available with the SE trim which is endowed with 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 266 horsepower. Although the Prius received a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS, the car did not make MSN Auto's list which can only be explained by the absence of a category designated for a Hybrid vehicle. The Prius has been recognized for its safety in the past, though, earning a maximum 5-star vehicle safety rating in the 2009 Euro NCAP test.
