The need for a renewable energy source that does not harm our environment is in a growing scale today. Searching for viable solutions to use and produce and eco-friendly source of fuel increases our chance to conserve our resources at the same time provides sustainable energy worldwide. 2011 technologies have improved newer methods of obtaining power through the use of the refuse derived fuel process. The deployment and development of this innovative approach in generating electricity is given priority to combat the growing causes of climate change. The depletion of the environments resources and the affect that gravely implicates human life is becoming an additional challenge that our society face today.

Generally 14 million tons of waste is being disposed in sanitary landfills all over the globe filling up sanitary landfills polluting land, water and air. Rubbish that is found from these sites contains diverse agents of hazardous components that bring illness to man and our planet. Most of the time, waste is disposed in incineration plants for thermal treatments. Some on the other hand, are reused, reduced and recycled to create newer products. Incineration plants deploys large amount of emissions that is being disperse into the atmosphere therefore; augmenting the causes of climate change. It is proposed by the industry that the applying a newly developed method known as the refuse derived fuel process.

Third world countries in Asia are now adopting these newer methods to address the growing issues towards waste accumulation and treatment. Residential, industrial and municipal waste is treated and converted into eco-fuel (refuse derived fuel). This process improves the quality if waste stream to create an alternative source of fuel that could be used to generate a cleaner energy source. This method also tends to eliminate operational problems that would cause pollution to the environment. The fuel that is derived from RDF process utilizes a one of a kind scheme that imposes requirements for the benefit of our environment.

These characteristics aids in producing a biologically stable and environmental friendly type of fuel source. The substitute fuel produced from this process co-fires electricity plants to provide safe, efficient, clean and sustainable energy source. This method aims to significantly minimize waste that is disposed in sanitary landfills at the same time provide a more cost efficient, renewable alternative generation of power.
