Scorpions Tickets - Despite Their Farewell Tour Metal Group Makes A Sting With Summer Tour
The Scorpions are one of greatest bands in rock and roll history
. Formed in 1965, they are also one of very few bands that are still together from the 60s. Over the years, the German outfit has produced countless number one hits and songs. From "Rock You Like a Hurricane" to "Wind of Change", the band has secured millions of followers with their incredible musical depth and range. Whether it's heavy metal, hard rock, or even soft rock ballads, no one does it like the Scorpions. With 18 chart topping albums to date, the band recently announced their retirement from active touring. They will, however, continue to record songs after their Farewell Tour comes to an end. The recent announcement sent fans into a frenzy for Scorpions tickets. The summer tour will also celebrate the release of their final album, Sting in the Tail.
Media and Fan Reception
Scorpion fans are saddened about the band's recent announcement. While they are happy the Scorpions are not breaking up, they will never be able to see their favorite band on tour again. The media, however, believes the band deserves some much needed rest and relaxation. After 40 years in the music industry, the Scorpions have every right to retire from full-time touring. Still, the band is set to headline the upcoming Wacken Open Air Festival in August. They also hope the current tour extends into 2013, which gives them ample time complete re-recordings of previously released material. The latter was a project that was initiated in 2011. According to the band's bassist, Pawel Maciwoda, the Scorpions want to follow up on the release of their Come Black album. This, of course, was not an official studio release, however, featured a range of past classics and hits.
DVD Documentaries
With the Farewell Tour in full swing, the band will release a documentary as well. This will feature performances from both the current and past tours. While the group has been featured in countless documentaries before, this is the first time that they will be filmed in 3D. While the bulk of the documentary centers around German performances, fans from all over the world will love the captivating visuals that entail this amazing production. From energetic guitar riffs to pulsating drum beats; the DVD will be an enthralling experience for all fans and spectators. The Scorpions also plan to release some of the material in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East as well.
Saying Goodbye-Maybe Not?
With so many post-tour projects in the works, it's almost like the Scorpions are not retiring from anything. In addition to the DVD and upcoming music festival, the band also plans to embark on several charitable endeavors. This will be no different from when they participated in the Humanity World Tour. While the tour took place in 2007, the Scorpions' main goal was to unite fans under the banner of music and song. In fact, the Scorpions have also donated proceeds in the name of global music to several charities. With their signature hard rock sound, the legacy of the Scorpions will be cherished for generations to come.
