Set Your Motivation On Fire
People have excuses for every possible situation
, no matter what status or situation they are currently in. But this doesn't have to be your case.
Even if you are poverty-stricken, old, physically handicapped, or have suffered failures in your life, you must be motivated to realize your aspirations in life.
Okay, so we all have to leave this earthly life one way or another. Leave it with an inspiring mark for others to emulate. Should any person or obstacle stop you from acting positively?
Set your dreams on fire! (You won't be charged with arson so don't worry!) Use any one or a combination of these words of wisdom:
1. All humans are endowed with natural potentials.
You say, "Is this so? How come he's a winner and I'm a loser? How come his pocket is full of dollars and mine is full of air? Why is he so confident and high-spirited? Why am I always down-spirited?"
Initially, people ask doubt-ridden questions like these as they are forced to take a hard look at themselves. Continue asking these questions and you will never discover your best potential.
Are your potentials active or dormant? Potentials untapped can become a burden you have to carry. This burden is going to nag you unrelentingly.
Did you do your best to look for the path in life that you like? Have you searched for that something that you love to do or always dream about? Have you found that path?
Maybe the path seemed too perilous to travel that you decided to abandon it. That means going back to square one. It is possible that you found your chosen path and thought it was difficult to pursue. Eventually, you discover that the path is not that difficult to pursue at all. So, what's keeping you?
2. Resist the thought that you are old and past your prime. Instead, continue to be inspired by the people and events around you. Lazy people use age as their constant excuse. Instead of thinking of excuses, focus more on achieving your goals in life.
3. Each day of delay is opportunity wasted.
Time lost is gone forever. Some of you would say: "Why should I waste my time on something that does not provide me of guarantees that I will achieve it? I might as well stay where I am now. At least, this is sure and comfortable." Are you sure you are mentally comfortable sitting it out, hardly doing anything about your future? That is rather doubtful.
4. Everybody have hobbies. These hobbies may hold the key to the hidden potentials that can rouse the sleeping dragon within you. The only way to find out is to act on it. There is a long list of people who succeeded in life via the hobby trail (intentionally or otherwise). You may be the next one to be included in this list.
5. People say a job is an opportunity. Maybe this is true. But isn't it equally true that you are an opportunity to a job? Therefore, it only means that you have it within you to succeed in life.
6. Don't let your dreams drift; drift with your dreams. Action is the word that can turn your dream into reality.
7. Don't work for money; work for your dream. Work with the thought that you will be paid with your dream by making it real.
8. You must know what you want out of life. Be specific. Eliminate the phrase: "Time will come that I'll be..." and change it to: "I am..." If you don't, you will wind up with just about anything. Life will just drift by. Why must you let it be? Don't just flow with the tide.
Fired up? Let's get started.
