Starcraft 2 Terran Build Orders
Terran is a well balanced race that has flexible units that permit a very adjustable Terran tactic and Terran build order. To counterbalance this versatility, the Terrans have the most difficult way to collect minerals and Vespine gas. Because your SCVs gather minerals, Vespine gas, and produce structures and heal units, resource gathering tends to decline as you deploy your SCVs for other tasks. This is the reason getting the mule early is critical to a winning Terran build tactic. When the Mule is cast it can mine double the minerals as an SCV for a period of twenty seconds. Using the mule removes the weakness the Terran have in mining resources. While this build is terrific, adjustable, and extremely effective, by far the most superior build orders I've seen come from the Diamond Gamer SC2 In-Game Add on. Check out myDiamond Gamer Review to see a groundbreaking (and totally legal) addon that is tremendously helpful for build orders of all races (as well as every other aspect of gameplay).
Early Mule Terran Build Order
To acquire a Mule as fast in the war as you can, emulate these build order procedures:
1. Accumulate nine SCVs as early as is possible, and then erect a Supply Depot.
2. Build another 2 SCV units and then one more Supply Depot and a Barrack in a spot that will choke your ramp.
3. Make sure to always have an SCV at your Command Center.
4. As soon as the Barrack is built, choke off the ramp by building one more Supply Depot.
5. Max out your SCV units at 14 so you will have enough minerals to upgrade your Command Center to Orbital Command as soon as the Barracks are done.
6. Deploy 2 additional SCVs mine gas as you construct a Refinery.
7. To prepare for enemy attacks, produce a few Marine units.
8. Try to stock up on at least 50 Vespine gas so you can hook up a tech lab to your first Barracks. Then erect yet another Barracks.
9. When the Orbital Command Center is finished upgrading, cast a Mule on the closest mineral patch and continue spawning SCV units.

Terran Build Order vs. Zerg
To get ready for a Zerg land attack, anticipate either a Zergling Rush attack or a full force Zergling offensive strike. A large scalre Hydralisk attack in combination with Roaches is another possible attack. Terrans can usually protect themselves from all of these attacks pretty easily with use of the exact same build - Build 2 Barracks, a Supply Depot, and then add additional Barracks or an Academy with an upgrade then more Barracks.
Construct Firebats to defend against Zerglings and Marines. Use Firebats and Siege Tanks to fight against a HydraliskRoach or Hydraliskergling attack. develop Bunkers right outside the enemy's town as soon as you win a battle. On defense, place your SCVs near defensive Bunkers so that they can fix them as they get damaged by enemy attacks. Even though Terrans have strong defenses, just sitting back and defending will eventually become a failing strategy, especially if the opponent begins to overpower you with resource collection, which can be a weak area for Terrans.
Terran Build Order Against Protoss
A common Protoss attack is to stage a massive Zealot offensive. The best way to handle this is to use both offensive and defensive Bunkers and to be certain you've constructed a minimum of four Barracks. Always be sure to scout your opponent continuously, most importantly early in the war. If you find a Cybernetics Core or a Robotics Facility indicates your Protoss foe is attempting to spawn Reavers. If you identify Reavers, counter with your Wraiths to kill them. If they try to retreat to their Shuttle, attack the Shuttle with Wraiths in them. Drop off the Siege Tanks in Siege Mode close to the center of your village and instruct them to fire at the Reavers from maximum distance so the Reavers can't counterattack). As a final resort, use Marines to attack them. Be certain the Marines cast Stim Packs and are not together so cannot be killed together.
Lockdown is phenomenally useful against all Protoss troops with the exception of Archons and Zealots. Lockdown is great when approached by a big number of Carriers. An excellent offensive strategy is to continue switching Supply Depots and Barracks while continuing to build SCV units. While creating your headquarters and the surrounding structures, it is super important to erect them extra close to each other. Construct a Bunker to cover your buildings (the reason they should be set up to be tightly packed), and fill up your Bunker with 4 Marines. Keep building Marines, Barracks, and SCVs. Using this strategy, you have no need to mine gas until later.
