* Physiology

This field talks about the different organisms and how these exist within a certain living system and carry out certain functions. * Genetics

This area as a field of study refers to the investigation of the hereditary component in living organisms and more so what causes this to happen. It is considered to be one of the oldest sciences and a field man has been engaging in ever since he started turning toward plants and roots for sustenance.

* Chemistry

Another of the important life sciences and one that is the basis for a number of other fields is chemistry. It refers to the study of the composition, behaviour, and structure of matter and how certain chemical reactions can be staged to change the composition of this matter.

* Veterinary Science

This refers to the study of animals both wild and domesticated ones. It deals with both their care and how medicine can be used to improve their living conditions as well as physical wellbeing both in their natural habitat as well as in a man-made environment.

While these are some of the fields that fall within the spectrum of life sciences, there are many more with each being quite different from the other. And this will not only help your explore the subject, but also ensure that you don't need to empty your pockets while doing this.
