If your goal is to build muscle and you have been at it for any amount of time you probably have found out by now that adding slabs of lean mass to your body and getting ripped is not the easiest thing in the world to do.
In fact, its very difficult!
Take myself for example, I was frustrated for years trying to figure out why it was so hard to build muscle and stay lean. Its seemed that the only thing I was good at is getting my belly softer while my limbs remained tiny.
You know, the infamous skinny fat look, where you look like a pear with pencils for limbs?
Well, looking back I realized that I was doing everything completely wrong!
I was listening to all the fitness, bodybuilding magazines and steroid filled guru's who really had no idea how to get lean and ripped, when it came time to teaching someone who wasn't on drugs like them.
So long story short I decided to find out the facts for myself on how to build muscle faster while getting lean and ripped.
Here is what I discovered:
First, I needed to stick with the basics and that 90% of the time I had to rely on hard work compound lifts. You know those lifts that people love to hate, squats, deadlifts, pull-ups and presses.
Second, don't think of your body as individual bodyparts. And that bodypart training didn't even come into the industry until drugs started to become popular in fitness circles.
Third, getting lean and ripped had everything to do with your diet and raising your metabolic rate with everything you do.
Knowing these simple principles that govern how a natural guy or women can build muscle faster while getting lean and ripped. I created myself some easy to follow routines
My training was as follows:
Monday Upper Body Horizontal Pulling and Pressing
(Bent Rows, Bench Press,Seated Rows,Chest Presses)
Tuesdays Lower Body Pulling and Pressing
(Squats,Lunges,Deadlifts,Sumo Deads,Leg Curls)
Thursday Upper Body Vertical Presses and Pulling
(Chin-ups, Pullups, Dips, Clean Press,Shoulder Press)
Friday Full Body Explosive Training
(Snatch Pulls, Complexes, Power Clean Press)
Very simple huh?
The idea was to work my body with as much weight as possible, stimulating my CNS (Central Nervous System).
Which if you didn't know is a major factor in how much muscle you build. While at the same time using that muscle to add to my metabolic rate.
Getting more lean and ripped as the days, weeks and months went on.
Building muscle faster is not hard, even if you are keeping yourself natural and away from the drugs. You just have to have the right information so you can build yourself a successful routine that actually gets you there.
