The Htc Smart With A Straight Forward User Experience

The HTC Smart offers a straight forward and simplistic user interface including easy

access to social networking sites through both its HTML web browser and through providing a unified thread of the latest emails, messages and Facebook status when a contact is selected besides only their name and picture.

The handset also features different scenes for the user to experience a different phone and set of shortcuts depending on whether it may be during the week, or the weekend for example during the week, shortcuts and widgets may include the Calendar and To-do list. However during the weekend thew home screen is transformed to present shortcuts to music, photos and the camera. The user can also customise a third Scene offered, which provides a tailored approach to this useful feature.

The Smart has a 3.0 megapixel resolution camera. It has an LED flashlight also, and is fixed focus. Photos and videos can be enjoyed on this handset, as well as music through either the stereo audio jack plug or the Bluetooth wireless stereo capabilities supported by the Bluetooth with enhanced data rate offered. The handset also features an FM radio, and supports media streaming.

For web browsing the handset has a full HMTL web browser which with a single key tap an be converted between portrait and landscape for easier viewing. Likewise, by double tapping the resistive touch screen, the user can zoom in and out. The browser also has built-in support for the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

The hardware offered by this phone besides the camera includes the 2.8 inch TFT-LCD touch screen display supported by a 300MHz processor and with 256 megabytes of random access memory and 256 megabytes read-only memory also. Expandable memory is available with microSD card support. Connectivity is offered through the Bluetooth mentioned, and also mini-USB, from which the phone is also charged. The computer can be synchronised with any Windows PC via its Brew Mobile Platform (MP) operating system which offers the simplistic widget-based system.

The HTC Smart offers the regular mobile phone user, with a more mainstream or modest budget a highly functional handset with a camera and easy to use operating system which includes unique and quirky features such as the Scenes updating the phone to when the user is using it. It also provides a simple approach to social networking and messaging, with support for email ,instant messaging, threaded text messaging as well as Facebook updates and messages all provided in one place when a single contact is selected.
