The use of nitrocellulose and other dioxides with the usual ingredients have been found to produce the same effects with a lesser degree of pollution. The future is expected to bring even holographic fireworks which can be customised at will. While producing the same effect as regular fireworks, they might be able to say words and phrases and probably display the same across the sky. Possibly, the greatest development in the future of fireworks would probably be the eco friendly residues like the gases produced and hardly any heat from the fireworks making it safer to handle.
