Which Is Best - Bug Out Bag , 72 Hour Survival Pack Or An Emergency Backpack?

Bug out bags, 72 hour kits, emergency backpacks.

. they are basically all the same thing. Just different ways of saying it. Don't get caught up in WHICH one you need. Instead, don't get caught unprepared by not having ANY of them.

The list is pretty basic of what goes into a bug out bag and you can personalize it for your own needs, but if you would rather not mess with that, you can also purchase survival kits online.

Here are Some Basic MUST HAVE'S for ANY Survival Kit!

You will want to have a STURDY backpack...and if you can get one with solar, that will be even better as that will give you emergency power to help keep your radios, flashlights and batteries charged.

You NEED a good survival knife... I can not stress this enough as if you ever need to cut twigs out of your way, simple things like cutting a bag open, etc, you will be glad you have a good strong knife with you.

A basic first aid kit... it is easy to make your own. All you need to do is make sure the basics are there. Adhesive tape, pain killer and ace bandage are among some first aid essentials, as well as bug killer.

Food...Ah yes, don't forget the food.... Mountain House food packs are some of the best, or some jerky that is vacuum sealed, and energy bars.

And if you plan to make a run for the woods, you will want to study up on how to survive in the backwoods as well!

Bottom line is simply this... regardless WHAT kind of pack you prepare... whether it is simply a 72 hour bag, or a bug out bag to last several weeks, or months... the point is to MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE READY. And do NOT USE the stuff out of your bag, thinking you will replace it soon. It will be terribly frustrating to grab your emergency pack at a moments notice only to discover that half the things are missing!
