There are a number of factors that seem to attract tourists to the British Isles; among them are the rich cultural and historical places that Britain has to offer. Theres no doubt that many Americans are drawn to Britain every year simply because of the history that it can provide, with America being a relatively young country historical value is something that they certainly lack and is clearly a big attraction for them. With such an extensive network of old buildings, stately homes, and castles there is truly a lot to keep anyone entertained, no matter where youre located in the country, the chances are that youll not be too far from the number of country homes that Britain has to offer.

Here are a just a few examples of the country homes to be found in Britain:

Hardwick Hall also has extensive grounds including a stable yard, gardens, and an orchard.

-Castle Drogo This truly magnificent building lies in the remarkable countryside of Devon. The huge granite walls succeed in adding to the presence of the building, and surrounding countryside does justice to the natural beauties that Britain holds. With formal gardens and a newly refurbished caf Castle Drogo makes for a great day out.
