How to Mend a Broken Relationship Fast
No matter how good your relationship is, it will not always be a smooth ride and there will be twists and turns and more than a few breakdowns. Some issues will be easy to fix and some will take a major overhaul. So how do you mend a broken relationship fast and get back on the road to happiness?
Firstly you need to find out what the problem is as some relationship breakdowns are easy to fix and some are a bit more complicated and require and more complex strategy and some cautious planning. If there is more than one issue causing a rough emotional ride then you need to resolve all of the problems before you can get back to a smooth and fulfilling relationship journey.
Both of you need to understand what the problems are and fully understand the condition of your relationship. If one of you feels everything is ok when it clearly isn't, it is difficult to work on a plan of action. You can't effectively repair something that you don't know is broken. So both parties have to be fully aware of the problems and what's causing them, to work on mending a broken relationship in the long term.
The next thing that is vitally important is that you have to re-establish that you care about one another and remind each other that you love each other. This can only work if you have serious dialogue and adult conversations. No anger or aggression, no pointing the finger or criticism, just good old fashion calm and serious debate on where you both go from here.
This doesn't mean hiding your emotions. If something angers you, tell your partner that it does but don't go off on one. If something upsets you, let your partner know that when they do this thing, it upsets you. We live busy lives these days and we are not always aware that certain things we say and do hurt or upset others. Communication is so important in any partnership and honest dialogue is the best way to clear the air and establish boundaries. If you are angry, disappointed, upset or depressed, let your partner know, but in a calm and adult way.
However, this is not a one way street and you also have to look at yourself and decide what you have done wrong and what you can do to make your partner happy again. If you are both being respectful and loving to each other and you are both trying hard to make the other happy, there isn't a problem right? Of course this sounds simple but in life it never is. We get together in relationships because of how good someone makes us feel and that's what we have to remember and regain.
Go out on small dates at first like a lunch or drinks at your favourite place or even better a place you went when you first met. As long as you can talk and it's a public place you will both relax and enjoy each others company. You will also be able to talk without getting too emotional as you are in a public place. You may have to remember your history to have a future.
What you both need to work out is do you want to try again? Do you both want the same future? Do you both really care for one another? You may even need a little outside professional advice on how to mend a broken relationship. Many people never fall in love so you are one of the lucky ones as you did fall in love once already and you will again, if you both work at it. Good luck.
