Nfl Tickets - Afc East Observations After Week 2

After two weeks of regular season playtime, the Miami Dolphins are the current No

. 1 in the AFC East with a 2-0 record while the crowded race to the top of the division next features a two-way tie between the 1-1 New York Jets and New England Patriots. The Buffalo Bills are once again the bottom feeders in the division at 0-2, but how will things shake out for the AFC East in the near future? Here are some observations to consider while predicting the AFC outcome this season.

The division is stacked. The AFC East is always one of the stronger divisions and one that sells plenty of NFL tickets, but so far this year (after Week 2) several analysts have the Jets, Dolphins and Patriots in the Top 10 of the power rankings. It's going to be a tough fight to the top this year for all three of those teams, and any one of them could snag the divisional title if they are all continue to play this solidly.

The Jets will be OK without Revis. Darrelle Revis was a big question mark for most of the offseason and is yet again questionable as he goes under the radar with a hamstring injury. Revis Island will be deserted if only temporarily as the all-star cornerback takes his recovery week by week, but the Jets proved in Week 2 against the Patriots that they will be fine without him in the lineup.

Don't discount the Patriots. New England's lack of glamorous additions in the offseason made them one of the least talked-about teams in the league, but with Tom Brady playing some solid ball again this season the Patriots will once again be the team to beat in the AFC East. A loss to the Jets in Week 2 was a big one, but the Pats also have a big win against the Bengals under their belt this season, evening out the playing field.

New York survives the spotlight. The Jets are getting some pretty horrible publicity right now, and this time it has nothing to do with Rex Ryan. The team has taken blows for both the harassment of news reporter Ines Sainz as well as a Braylon Edwards DWI over the last couple weeks, but even with these hugely negative events the Jets seem to keep their walls upright and aren't crumbling with pressure. They might very well be the most hated team in the league, but the Jets keep keepin' on.

Chad Henne needs to step up. Make no mistake about it - the Dolphins are a very good football team this year. They'd be better, though, if Chad Henne took some Peyton Manning-like risks every once in a while. The Dolphins tend to be a conservative team on offense, but if they want to stay atop the AFC East Henne needs to break out of his box and go for more big plays passing.

Buffalo needs a quarterback. The quarterback tandem of Harvard alum Ryan Fitzpatrick and Stanford alum Trent Edwards means that the Bills might have the smartest quarterbacks in the NFL, but that means nothing to a league that judges success by passing numbers and touchdowns. Coach Chan Gailey benched Edwards in place of Fitzpatrick in time for Week 3, and this might just be able to trigger the winds of change in Buffalo.
