When we ship medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, we must, by mandate, go above and beyond the regular insulated boxes we deal with in regular, everyday shipping. Our pharmaceutical containers are all durable, long lasting and non toxic (usually made a metal reinforced plastic), and are carefully packed in an insular cocoon that fits snugly and tightly into an OSHA approved receptacle, box or shipping crate.
We maintain sanitation and cleanliness during the entire process, and our medical packing stations are cleaned after each and every wrapping, and periodically inspected by third party inspectors, as mandated by the federal government.
We are dealing in controlled substances, when all is said and done, and we treat all our pharmaceuticals as potentially hazardous material. We never use our medical supply wrapping materials and insular packaging for any purpose other than medical supplies.
In particular, we separate storage and shipping containers for specific drugs, so there is no chance of one shipment intermingling with the dusty remains of a previous shipment, which would create a potentially dangerous scenario. We also recognize that most medications are very delicate, and must be shipped in temperature-controlled vehicles, which are maintained within two degrees of a given temperature. They are also regularly cleaned and inspected, as is mandated.
Finally, our medical delivery drivers are exclusive to the deliveries of pharmaceuticals and supplies for medical facilities, and they do not vary or change their transporting jobs from day to day, so there is no possibility of cross contamination from other shipments. Our drivers can claim an exclusive dedication to their appointed route, and they are trained to respond to any eventualities that might impede their journey.
