The Nokia N8 Features A 12 Megapixel Camera

Xenon Flash and autofocus, and HD quality video capturing which can be played back through an HDMI connection on a big-screen HD television, or if one isnt available, in HD quality on the 3.5 inch capacitative touchscreen the handset features.

The phone has an internal memory of 16 gigabytes and a microSD memory card slot which can hold up 32GB on any microSD card inserted. Meanwhile, data can be backed up via the high-speed USB 2.0 (micro USB) connection, including USB on-the-go or alternatively through the Bluetooth 3.0 option available.

As well as the video playback, the handset offers a full multimedia range including cover flow music interface to quickly surf through album covers and artists to find the song desired, and played through Nokia Music Player. More music can be downloaded from the Ovi Music Store. An FM stereo radio and on demand webTV provide constant broadcasted entertainment at the users requirements.

The handset has both GPS and A-GPS internal receivers as well as its Accelerometer and Magnetometer (compass) and is able to offer Ovi maps as such. Additionally, pedestrian and car navigation are also available free of charge. The Nokia Ovi Suite is present to transfer or upload maps to the device for free also.

A second front VGA camera is provided solely for the video calling feature and the power management can support up to 160 minutes of this. Email and messaging are made simple with an easy email client featured with support for attached documents of most formats required, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and also images, videos and music.

It is a unified email client allowing multiple services including Yahoo Mail, GMail and Hotmail among others, all in one place. Multiple instant messaging services are also supported.

The web browser is a full HTML browser with support for Flash through Flash Lite 4.0 and provides a virtual history and Nokia Mobile Search. The phone also has three home screens of which each or one can offer a unified view of social networking up[dates and messages such as Facebook and Twitter.

The Nokia N8 brings together a great camera and multimedia features, along with all the internet and phone functions that would be expected from a phone such as this. It allows the user to easily navigate through their messages, social networking and media, in an easy-to-use interface, through its HD touchscreen.
