There are a variety of pumps that will draw water from a source and deliver it to ones' yard. These pumps could be used if there is a nearby pond, river or other water source. This is not only conservative, but the water is high in nutrients and that's not to mention the great savings! One can never go wrong with water conservation; however ensure that rights or permission to the water source is obtained before pumping any water.

There are a number of sprinklers, but older styles are time consuming and there efficiency is often questioned. There is however track sprinklers that make watering much easier. These sprinklers run a specified path based on the hose or other materials chosen. These sprinklers keep the water where it needs to be and alleviates the need to move it constantly. These systems are made up of long soaker hoses. They can be laid out as needed. They help save water and can be controlled by a timer, making them even more convenient. These soaker hoses use to be used only for the watering of trees or flowerbeds, however many lawn owners have found that they work nicely for watering the grass as well.
