Benguerra has it's towering sand dunes to explore that give way to indigenous bush which is abundant with local flora and fauna, home to an interesting variety of birdlife, as well as the odd crocodile at the island's the lakes. The island's local people are warm and welcoming and make for fascinating cultural encounters, and the starry night sky is quite magnificent to behold.
