Here are 3 pointers that i have tried and found to be useful in instilling some disciplined eating during parties over the festive period:-


1.Plan your parties

Do not try to squeeze too many parties at one go, you will be stuffing yourself silly and are definitely prone to over-eating that will lead to subsequent weight gain.

2. Eat before you go

Yes, that's right, eat before you go! Do not attend parties with an empty stomach. Have some fruits or light snack as you tend to eat more with an empty stomach. This should help starve off some mindless eating at the party.

3. Move around

Do not hang around at the food section, move around and mingle with other party goers if possible. This is a good way to network and keep yourself busy so that your focus would not be entirely on the food.

Of course, it take more than this to lose those excess fats built up as the battle of the bulge is a lifetime thing. How to start is the next thing to ponder over if you are serious in achieving what you have listed down in your New Year resolution, i.e. to lose weight!
