Nfl Tickets - A New Top 10 After Week One

Though it's just one game, Week One was very telling in a variety of ways

. Let's take a look at what teams snuck into the top 10 in the NFL after the first round of games on the league's schedule.

1. New Orleans Saints:

With the Colts dropping a tough one to the Texans, the Saints are a no-brainer a top the list. They may not have looked great in their opening night win against the Vikings, but they moved the ball when they needed to and played very good defense for three quarters. The Saints are through their first big test of the season and came out with a win. Hard to argue with that.

2. Indianapolis Colts:

I know: the Colts lost their first game of the season. Still, the Colts' passing game looked great in Week One and Indy will be there at the end of the season if they stay healthy. They do have a tough test this week against the Giants, but my guess is that they'll pull out the win and get right back on track.

3. Green Bay Packers:

The Packers didn't look great in Week One but still won on the road by a touchdown against a tough conference opponent. And if the Packers can win away from Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers playing poorly, there's no reason to think they won't be every bit as good as anticipated.

4. New England Patriots:

Tom Brady looked great in the Pats' opening weekend matchup against the Bengals and the offense looks to be formidable yet again. The biggest problem for the rest of the league is that they managed to shut down the run and get after the quarterback. If they can continue to do that, Brady could make them a championship caliber team.

5. Baltimore Ravens:

It wasn't exactly pretty, but the Ravens went into a crazy environment in the new Jets' stadium and beat a very good football team. Joe Flacco had some early difficulty but you have to give him credit for standing in the pocket and taking shots down the field against an aggressive Jets defense. The Ravens have to be the favorites in the AFC North.

6. Houston Texans:

The one thing that the Texans were missing was a running game. Well, it seems that newbie Arian Foster was listening. Foster exploded in Week One and the Texans were able to beat the mighty Colts without having to rely on quarterback Matt Schaub chucking the ball all over the field. This looks to be the year that the Texans will challenge for a playoff spot.

7. Minnesota Vikings:

Considering that they nearly pulled out a win on the road against the defending Super Bowl champs, there's no reason to be worried in Minnesota. Brett Favre should get stronger as he gets in sync with his wideouts and the Vikings still project to be a 10 or 11 win team.

8. Pittsburgh Steelers:

Though Dennis Dixon isn't the type of player who usually sells tons of NFL tickets, he played well enough to beat a tough Falcons team to start the season. Look out for this defense if Troy Palomalu stays healthy.

9. Tennessee Titans:

This is a team that could surprise a lot of people if Vince Young can play within himself and not turn the ball over. The Titans can stop the run on defense and have the most explosive back in the league to hand the ball to on offense. Young will have to continue to play with poise, but so far so good.

10. Dallas Cowboys:

Too many penalties and a terrible decision to not take a knee at the end of the first half cost the Cowboys their Week One matchup against the Redskins. It's not time to panic in Big D, but they do need to get it going with Houston, Minnesota, Tennessee, New York (Giants) and Green Bay looming on their first-half schedule.
