Nfl Tickets - Week 2 Fantasy Pickups
Here are some players that could be worth adding to your roster for Week 2:
Brandon Jackson, Running Back, Green Bay Packers: Jackson is the pickup of the week in the wake of the news that Ryan Grant will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. He is primed to get the full workload in Green Bay and head coach Mike McCarthy said he thinks Jackson can be an every down back. The former Cornhusker had a very good collegiate career at Nebraska that convinced the Packers to select him in the second round of the draft a few years ago, but Jackson was beaten out for the starting job by Grant early on. Jackson gets his opportunity to shine now and should get off to a good start against a shaky Buffalo run defense.
Michael Vick, Quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles: Really, Michael Vick? Where was this speed last season? Vick looked like his pre-prison self last week after entering the game for an injured Kevin Kolb. Not only did he rush for more than 100 yards, but Vick threw the ball very well. Kolb looks like he'll be out for week two, and another good performance from Vick could start a quarterback controversy.
Darren McFadden, Running Back, Oakland Raiders: If McFadden is available, he's definitely worth a pickup. The former fourth overall pick looked great in week one against the Titans and could steal the starting job from Michael Bush with another big performance in week two. The Raiders have the Rams, so it's certainly not out of the question.
Austin Collie, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts: Collie had a huge game against the Texans in week one. Though a lot of his yardage came on one big touchdown reception, he still had nine other catches in the game. Though the receiving corps is a crowded one, Collie could be developing in Indy's version of Wes Welker.
Mike Thomas, Wide Receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars: Thomas might be small, but he knows how to get open. It's hard to depend on this passing game too much, and Mike Sims-Walker won't go without a reception every week, but Thomas could be worth a prospective pickup.
Eddie Royal, Wide Receiver, Denver Broncos: In week one, Royal played like we expected him to perform last season. If Kyle Orton has finally gotten comfortable using him, Royal could end up being the number one wideout in Denver.
Brandon Lloyd, Wide Receiver, Denver Broncos: Lloyd is the big play threat in the Denver passing game. Though I'd prefer to have Royal or Jabar Gaffney, he could be worth a shot on your roster.
Mark Clayton, Wide Receiver, St. Louis Rams: Clayton was extremely impressive against the Cardinals, especially considering he had a rookie quarterback and had only been on the team for about a week. It's evident that Clayton is putting the work in and that Sam Bradford likes going to him.
New York Giants Defense: It was only a year ago that the Giants were expected to be the top fantasy defense. If they've regained their form, they could be a steal you can ride every week.
Fred Taylor, Running Back, New England Patriots: Taylor isn't going to sell many NFL tickets, but he looks to be the number one back on a team that can really move the ball.
Legedu Naanee, Wide Receiver, San Diego Chargers: Naanee was the guy that made plays against the Chiefs and quarterback Philip Rivers is looking for a new number one wideout. It could end up being Legedu.
Mike Williams, Wide Receiver, Seattle Seahawks: Williams came about a yard away from having a great fantasy day. Still, he was the most targeted receiver on the Seahawks and could be set to revitalize a career that never really got going.
