Scientific Careers Theology, Faith, And Religious Beliefs

Religion is not the same as faith though most people think that these two notions are equal and interchangeable

. There are many religions in the contemporary society and each individual can choose something more appropriate for him/her in terms of tastes, preferences, rituals, and other aspects related to this area. Though religious study is a bit complicated with regard to certain peculiar features of cultures and the ways each religion can be adjusted to traditions and customs of different ethnic groups, it is necessary to mention that the modern society enhances the development of religious sects and other groups.

Theology and its importance

Theology is the study that deals with religious beliefs of different nations and ethnic groups, the nature of God and the ways people represent godlike creatures, the ways individuals express their faith and pray. In other words, everything related to God and human faith is studied by theologists. Some theologists specialize in the Bible and other sources that are claimed to evidence some legends spread among Christians. Other scientists of this field try to analyze the relations between human faith and the level of suggestibility used by charismatic leaders of religious sects. The main difference between a sect and a church is that churchmen believe that their faith can be expressed in any way and they can pray in different ways. At the same time, members of sects are persuaded that their souls can be saved only if they join a definite sect!

Theology and science

Though you can believe in God and be a passionate church-goer, you can know little about theology as a field of science. Moreover, theologists must not believe in God because of their profession; faith is something that cannot be imposed by force regardless of historic experience of crusades.
